Dive and Relax

Avoid the crowds on larger dive boats, dive and snorkel in small groups. Kon-Tiki Diving

If you’re after a relaxing day on the water, on a lovely big cruiser, buffet lunch and sun-baking on the deck, along with your dive, then get going with Kon-Tiki Lanta. They are also a 5-star PADI IDC Centre, a certification which guarantees the highest standards of safety, quality and variety. Crossfit at Box 245

Monday to Saturday: 08.00, 10.00, 16.00 and 17.00 Everybody can take part of this fantastic training. Everything is scalable and you always train on your own level!

Muay Thai

What better way to get fit fit fit then to throw yourself into some Muay Thai training. There’s a fantastic facility just up the road from KoHUB, which is owned and managed by William (Decha Rodraksa) a former world champion Muay Thai boxer. Men, women and children can train in a safe and relaxing environment under the guidance of their fully qualified instructors. They do single sessions or you can sign up to a program. They can even get you fight-ready!


If you want to do some weights and cardio on machines, then the Lanta Gym’s Fitness Centre on the road at the northern end of Long Beach is the place to go. A 10 or 15 min jog up the beach and down the side road will get you there. Or a 4 min scooter ride…


Of course your own practice on the beach or garden outside your bungalow is a great option, but if you want to join a class Oasis Yoga is the only dedicated yoga centre on the island. Koh Lanta also sees other yoga instructors set up classes on decks, beaches and parks, so keep an eye out for them too!


Pangea Beach Bar

Pangea’s a beach bar in walking distance (just 300m up the beach) from KoHUB. Great for a sundowner. They have a party night every Wednesday and Deep Sunset Sessions on Sundays 4pm to 8pm.

Irish Embassy

This little gem is our local, just four doors up. Every night there is something going on, highlights include Monday’s ‘Pub Quiz’ and Friday’s ‘Name That Tune’. Fun and family friendly. They have stout and cider on tap, great pub grub, a pool table and darts, all you need for your home away from home.

The Ozone Bar

Not too far along the beach from us is The Ozone Bar. This very popular venue has weekly beach parties every Thursday night.

Irie Bar & Restaurant

There are many live music venues on the island, Irie is well established for all visiting and local bands and have live music every Monday night. They also have a great Vegan & Vegetarian Thai/Fusion menu.
If you’re trying to find where the party is each night of the week, here’s the low down.
  • Monday – Quiz night @ Irish / Irie Bar / Travel So Far
  • Tuesday – Pangea / Love Music Bar / Cheeky Monkey 
  • Wednesday – Noon wine night / The Galaxy / Klapa Klum 
  • Thursday – Ozone Bar

  • Saturday – Korner Bar 
  • Sunday – Mushroom Bar / Kandi Lounge
For sunset drinks there are many great places to try, on Klong Dao chill at the Indian. If you find yourself on Long beach check out Pangea. Relax Bay – head to Moloko’s and on the road in between The Irish is always open (especially if you are a sports fan). Also try Klong Kong, Klong Nin and Kantiang Bay for some more beautiful bars and sunsets.

Other Stuff

Thai Cooking Classes

Enjoy and learn how to cook Thai Food. Discover the secrets, tips and tricks which had been passing on through generations. You learn by preparing food handed/on with an experienced teacher in a small group of maximum 8 people.

Snorkel and Island Tours

For a great day out on the water take a speed boat, long tail or cruiser to the ‘Four Islands’ or a speed boat or cruiser across to Phi Phi Island. You can also go sea kayaking, visit the jungle, or just hire a bike and explore the island. You can book tours and also airport transfers from KoHUB with Apple Travel. They’ll come to you at the office to collect money and give you your tickets.

Lanta Animal Welfare

Lanta Animal Welfare is an animal rescue, care and re-homing facility on Koh Lanta, run by dedicated full time and casual volunteers. LAW’s objective is to relieve the suffering and pain of the animals on the island through sterilisation and care. To date, they have sterilised and treated over 8,000 animals. Call in for a visit, buy some of their merchandise, make a donation, pat a puppy or even volunteer to walk a dog!

Lanta Koh-Op

Just starting on Koh Lanta is a group of enthusiastic individuals and business owners who are keen to keep Lanta clean and green. If you’re eco-conscious and have anything you can contribute, make contact!
